These seals were in use in 1892 AD corresponding to the year 1310 AH.<\/p><\/div><div><figure id=\"attachment_1520\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1520\" style=\"width: 866px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theworldinstamps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/FDC-2001-10-09.jpg?resize=640%2C373\" alt=\"Morocco 2001 - Sherifian Hand Stamps\" width=\"640\" height=\"373\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1520\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Morocco 2001 &#8211; Sherifian Hand Stamps<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><div><p>The city of Ksar-El_Kebir is known for being the location of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battle_of_Alc%C3%A1cer_Quibir\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the historic battle of Alc\u00e1cer Quibir (Battle of\u00a0 Wadi-Al-Makhazin in Arabic)<\/a>. This battle took place in 1578 between the invading christian armies let by the King Sebatian of Portugal and the Moroccan armies let by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Abu_Marwan_Abd_al-Malik_I_Saadi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">King Adb Al Malik AlSaadi<\/a>. The battle ended with a total defeat of the invading portugese army and the death of King Sebatian, and almot the whole portugese nobility. This battle resulted in a the Portuguese succession crisis of 1580, and the acceptance of king Philip II of Spain as king of Portugal.<\/p><p>In the modern history, the city of Ksar-El-Kebir was occupied by Spanish troops at the beginning of the 20th century and remained part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/theworldinstamps.com\/?p=3586\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spanish protectorate in Morocco, that had Tetuan as capital<\/a>, until the indepedence of the country in 1956.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">Stamps worth 2.5 dirhams and 6.5
