La superficie du territoire \u00e9tait de 1500 km2 compos\u00e9 de la petite ville de Sidi Ifni comme capitale en plus de quelques villages.<\/p><figure id=\"attachment_3344\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3344\" style=\"width: 309px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theworldinstamps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Ifni-1961-178-185-7.png?resize=309%2C503\" alt=\"Satamp Sidi Ifni 1961\" width=\"309\" height=\"503\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3344\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Stamp of Sidi Ifni 1961. Y&amp;T 153<\/figcaption><\/figure><h3>Occupation Espagnole<\/h3><p>L&#8217;enclave dans la r\u00e9gion actuelle de Sidi Ifni a \u00e9t\u00e9 occup\u00e9e pour la premi\u00e8re fois par l&#8217;Espagne en 1476 pour \u00e9tablir une colonie espagnole nomm\u00e9e <a title=\"Santa Cruz de la Mar Peque\u00f1a\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Santa_Cruz_de_la_Mar_Peque%C3%B1a\">Santa Cruz de la Mar Peque\u00f1a<\/a>. Elle est rest\u00e9e aux mains des Espagnols jusqu&#8217;en 1524, date \u00e0 laquelle elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 lib\u00e9r\u00e9 par la dynastie marocaine saadienne.<\/p><p>Au XIXe si\u00e8cle, \u00e0 la suite d&#8217;une <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Deuxi%C3%A8me_guerre_du_Maroc\">guerre hispano-marocaine (1859-1860)<\/a>, le sultanat du Maroc c\u00e8de le territoire \u00e0 l&#8217;Espagne en 1860.<\/p><figure id=\"attachment_3366\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3366\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theworldinstamps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/1024px-Morocco_Protectorate-fr.svg.png?resize=640%2C612\" alt=\"Maroc sous protectorat\" width=\"640\" height=\"612\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3366\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Les subdivisions du Maroc sous protectorats espagnol et fran\u00e7ais (*)<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Imm\u00e9diatement apr\u00e8s son ind\u00e9pendance en 1956, le Maroc a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 revendiquer la souverainet\u00e9 sur toutes les autres possessions espagnoles au Maroc telles que Ceuta, Melilla, Ifni, <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cap_Juby\">Cape Juby<\/a> (aujourd&#8217;hui Tarfaya) et le Sahara occidental, en plus de la Mauritanie qui \u00e9tait sous contr\u00f4le fran\u00e7ais.<\/p><h3>Liberation de Ifni<\/h3><p>The Moroccan Liberation Army started a series of attacks against the Spanish outposts in the Sahara and Ifni and managed to control a large portion of these territories. This was known as I<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ifni_War\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fni war or the\u00a0<\/a>forgotten war ended by a treaty in which\u00a0\u00a0Morocco obtained the region of Tarfaya (<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cape_Juby\">Cape Juby<\/a>).<\/p><p>L&#8217;Arm\u00e9e de lib\u00e9ration du Maroc a lanc\u00e9 une s\u00e9rie d&#8217;attaques contre les avant-postes espagnols au Sahara et \u00e0 Ifni et a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 contr\u00f4ler une grande partie de ces territoires. Ceci \u00e9tait connu comme <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Guerre_d%27Ifni\">la guerre d&#8217;Ifni ou la guerre oubli\u00e9e<\/a>. Cette guerre s&#8217;est termin\u00e9 par un trait\u00e9 dans lequel le Maroc a obtenu la r\u00e9gion de Tarfaya (Cap Juby). Le Maroc n&#8217;a pas cess\u00e9 de revendiquer ses territoires toujours occup\u00e9s par des moyens diplomatiques.<\/p><p>Sous la pression internationale, l&#8217;Espagne a mis fin \u00e0 son contr\u00f4le du territoire d&#8217;Ifni en 1969. Le territoire a \u00e9t\u00e9 intergr\u00e9 dans le royaume marocain.<\/p><h3>Serie de timbres Y&amp;T 153 to 156\u00a0<\/h3><p>Le timbre ci-dessus est l&#8217;un des 4 timbres \u00e9mis pour comm\u00e9morer le 25e anniversaire du r\u00e9gime franquiste en Espagne.
