Cet homme \u00e9tait un touriste \u00e9vang\u00e9lique sioniste qui est arriv\u00e9 en Palestine comme volontaire dans un kibboutz isra\u00e9lien, puis a d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 \u00e0 J\u00e9rusalem, o\u00f9 il est rest\u00e9 pr\u00e8s d&#8217;un mois, visitant la mosqu\u00e9e quotidiennement sous pr\u00e9texte de prendre des photos du b\u00e2timent. Le feu s&#8217;est propag\u00e9 de la chaire en bois pour br\u00fbler compl\u00e8tement la partie sud de la mosqu\u00e9e jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 ce que son toit s&#8217;effondre. La mosqu\u00e9e a acquis une importance suppl\u00e9mentaire en raison de son association avec l\u2019incident de l\u2019Isra et des Mi&#8217;raj, et de sa mention dans la sourate al-Israa du Saint Coran.<\/span><\/span><\/p><h2>Cr\u00e9ation de l&#8217;Organisation de la coop\u00e9ration islamique<\/h2><p style=\"line-height: 19.2pt; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span style=\"color: #202122; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15.3333px;\">Cet acte, qui a port\u00e9 atteinte \u00e0 la mosqu\u00e9e sacr\u00e9e, la troisi\u00e8me des deux saintes mosqu\u00e9es, a eu une grande r\u00e9action dans le monde islamique, et il y a eu des manifestations partout. Apr\u00e8s ce crime, feu <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hassan_II\">le roi Hassan II du Maroc<\/a> a appel\u00e9 les pays arabes et islamiques \u00e0 se r\u00e9unir \u00e0 Rabat le 25 septembre 1969. La r\u00e9union a approuv\u00e9 un plan de restauration de la mosqu\u00e9e et a abouti \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de<\/span><\/span><a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Organisation_de_la_coop%C3%A9ration_islamique\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> l&#8217;Organisation de la Conf\u00e9rence Islamique<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 15.3333px; color: #202122; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">, qui comprend dans ses membres tous les pays musulmans. En 211, le nom de l&#8217;organisation a chang\u00e9 pour devenir\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oic-oci.org\/home\/?lan=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l&#8217;Organisation de la coop\u00e9ration islamique<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 15.3333px; color: #202122; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">.<\/span><\/p><h2>Restauration de la mosqu\u00e9e Al-Aqsa<\/h2><p style=\"line-height: 19.2pt; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15.3333px; color: #202122; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Les travaux de restauration de la mosqu\u00e9e se sont poursuivis sous la supervision du minist\u00e8re jordanien des dotations jusqu&#8217;en 1986, date \u00e0 laquelle toute la zone de la mosqu\u00e9e a \u00e9t\u00e9 rouverte aux fid\u00e8les. Une chaire identique \u00e0 la chaire br\u00fbl\u00e9e de Saladin a \u00e9t\u00e9 construite et plac\u00e9e dans la mosqu\u00e9e en 2006.<\/span><\/p><h2>Timbres comm\u00e9moratifs<\/h2><p style=\"line-height: 19.2pt;
