Ces pluies ont eu des\u00a0 effets catastrophiques dans toute la moiti\u00e9 nord du pays. Les inondations \u00e9pandirent dans les plaines l&#8217;abondant mat\u00e9riel que l&#8217;\u00e9rosion avait arrach\u00e9 aux montagnes.<\/p><p>Dans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/archives\/article\/1963\/01\/09\/inondations-au-maroc-dix-morts-des-milliers-de-sinistres_3093685_1819218.html\">un article du 9 Janvier 1963, le journal Francais &#8220;Le Monde&#8221;<\/a> parle de 10 morts et de milliers de sinistr\u00e9s. Un article du 11 Janvier parle de catastrophe nationale.<\/p><p>Suite a ces innondations, et la perte importante dans le cheptel, le roi du Maroc a annul\u00e9 les festivit\u00e9 du Eid El Kebir (Eid Al Adha ou fete du sacrifice) qui a eu lieu au debut du mois de mai de la meme ann\u00e9e.<\/p><figure id=\"attachment_5646\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5646\" style=\"width: 328px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theworldinstamps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Morocco-1963-YT-454.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theworldinstamps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Morocco-1963-YT-454.jpg?resize=328%2C493\" alt=\"Floods in Morocco 1963 YT-454\" width=\"328\" height=\"493\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5646\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Timbre de 1956 surcharg<span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.5px;\">\u00e9 avec la mentions &#8220;Innondations 1963&#8221;\u00a0<\/span>et une nouvelle valeur. faciale YT-454<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>le 28 Janvier 1963, le Maroc a emis deux timbres de la serie des timbres a l&#8217;efigie du roi Mohammed V emisent initialement en 1963. Les timbres portaient la surcharge en arabe &#8220;innodations 1963&#8221; et une nouvelle valeur faciale. La valeur comprenait une surcharge en faveur des victimes des innondation.<\/p><p>Malheureusement, les innondations de 1963 au Maroc, ne ce sont pas limit\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#8217;ouest\u00a0du pays. Le 23 mai 1963, une crue de la rivi\u00e8re Moulouya a tout emport\u00e9 sur son passage de la jonction des montagnes du Moyen et du Haut Atlas \u00e0 la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e. La crue a \u00e9t\u00e9 si violente qu&#8217;elle a emport\u00e9 la fondation rive gauche du barrage Mohammed V, situ\u00e9 au sud de <a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/theworldinstamps.com\/?p=1558&amp;lang=fr\">la ville de Oujda<\/a>, comme le rapporte un document de la Direction de la surveillance et de la pr\u00e9vention des risques.
