Ces services ont commenc\u00e9\u00a0avec l&#8217;utilisation des\u00a0Timbres indiens au Kowe\u00eft.<\/p><figure style=\"width: 264px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theworldinstamps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Kuwait-1923-YT-16.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theworldinstamps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Kuwait-1923-YT-16.png?resize=264%2C310\" alt=\"Indian stamps in Koweit 1923\" width=\"264\" height=\"310\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Timbre idiend avec la surcharge\u00a0 &#8220;KUWAIT&#8221; &#8211; 1923 &#8211; YT-16<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Le premier bureau de poste officiel a \u00e9t\u00e9 ouvert \u00e0 Kowait en 1915. Il d\u00e9pendait de l&#8217;administration postale de l&#8217;inde britannique. Il a utilis\u00e9 des timbres-poste indiens de 1902 \u00e0 1909 avec l&#8217;image du roi \u00c9douard VII, sans aucune surcharge particuli\u00e8re.<\/p><p>Les premiers timbres kowe\u00eftiens sp\u00e9cifiques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9mis en 1923. Ils se composaient d&#8217;une s\u00e9rie de timbres-poste indiens \u00e9mis en 1911, portant l&#8217;image du roi George V. Ces timbres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9mis avec la surcharge &#8220;KOWEIT&#8221;. Il apparait que ces timbres sont aujourd&#8217;hui\u00a0 tr\u00e8s rares, car seulement 24 s\u00e9ries ont re\u00e7u cette surcharge. La m\u00eame ann\u00e9e, les m\u00eames timbres a l&#8217;effigie du roi George V ont \u00e9t\u00e9 surcharg\u00e9s\u00a0&#8220;KUWAIT&#8221;.<\/p><p>L&#8217;administration postale des indes britanniques a \u00e9mis 5 s\u00e9ries de timbres avec la surcharge &#8220;KUWAIT&#8221;. Les\u00a0trois premieres, \u00e9mises en 1923, 1929 et 1933 avec le portrait du\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/George_V\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">roi George V<\/a>. Les deux dernieres \u00e9mises en 1939 et 1945 portaient le portrait du\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/George_VI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">roi Goerge VI<\/a>, p\u00e8re de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/theworldinstamps.com\/?lang=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">la reine Elisabeth II<\/a>.<\/p><figure id=\"attachment_3439\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3439\" style=\"width: 269px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theworldinstamps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Kuwait-1958-YT-128.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theworldinstamps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Kuwait-1958-YT-128.png?resize=269%2C323\" alt=\"First Kuwaiti stamp 1958\" width=\"269\" height=\"323\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3439\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Premier timbre kowe\u00eftien &#8211; Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah -1958 &#8211; YT-128<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>A partir de 1948 et jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 la nationalisation de l&#8217;administration des postes en 1958, le Kowe\u00eft utilisa des timbres britanniques surimprim\u00e9s &#8220;KUWAIT&#8221;. Ces timbres portaient les photos du roi George VI jusqu&#8217;en 1951, puis des photos de la reine Elisabeth.<\/p><p>En 1958, le gouvernement du Kowe\u00eft a \u00e9mis les premiers timbres avec un dessin national sp\u00e9cifique. Ces timbres portaient le portrait de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Abdallah_al-Salim_al-Sabah\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shaikh et futur prince Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah<\/a>.
