Yemen 1964 – Inauguration of Hodeida Airport In 1964, the Yemeni Arab Republic inaugurated the Hodeida Airport as a regional and international airport. The airport code is HOD.The airport is located south of the city of Hodeida on the red sea, and is the second largest airport in Yemen.The Yemeni post issued three post stamps to commemorate this inauguration. The face values are 4 Baqsh, 6 baqsh and 10 baqsh.The airport was closed in 2015.
