World Day of Arabic Language: Egypt 2016

In commemoration of the World Day of Arabic Language, Egypt issued in 2016 three stamps featuring Arabic calligraphic art with a poem of the famous Muslim scholar,  al-ُmam Al-Shafi’ (767 – 820 A.D.). The text can translate to:
If you want to live safe from harm ***, with good fortune and preserved honor
Your tongue should never mention the flaws of others *** For you are full of flaws and people have tongues

The original text in Arabic:
إذا شئت أن تحيا سليما من الأذى *** وحظك موفور وعرضك صيـّن
لسانك لا تذكر به عورة أمـــريء *** فكلك عورات وللناس ألســن
