Egypt- Solidarity with the palestinian people

The Second Palestinian Intifada broke out in 2000, after Ariel Sharon’s visit to Al-Aqsa Mosque and continued until 2005. It saw many clashes between Palestinian citizens and Israeli occupation forces.

Egypt issued a set of three postage stamps bearing the phrase “solidarity with the Palestinian people.”

Two of the stamps are vertical. The first carries the image of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, topped with a Palestinian flag at a value of 20 piasters, the second depicts the martyr child Mohammed Al-Durra, taking shelter behind his father’s back. The third stamp is horizontal, with a value of 125 piasters. It carries the image of the Al-Aqsa Mosque topped by the Palestine Flag.
